Editable Field

An always-editable value with autosave — no edit mode, no confirm/cancel buttons. It saves after a typing pause (600ms), on Enter and on blur; Escape reverts to the last saved value; a Saved tick shows for two seconds after each save. field is a normal hairline field for settings pages; inline is the ghost field for cards and rows: text at rest, the hairline on hover, the full field on focus.

Field (settings pages)

A normal field that saves as you type. The tick lands inside the field.

Field — multiline

Textarea-backed. Cmd/Ctrl+Enter saves and blurs; Enter adds a line.

Inline (ghost field)

Reads as text; hover shows the hairline, focus the full field. For card footers, titles and rows.

The placeholder reads muted until a value is typed.
